Our Work
Freedom to Roam is a new model for landscape protection, a coalition of people, businesses, conservation and recreation groups whose goal is to bring awareness of connectivity to the forefront of public knowledge through sound science and effective policies.
Many environmental and conservation groups have worked on corridor protection efforts for over twenty years. Freedom to Roam hopes to bring the message of corridors to new constituencies and a broad audience.
Freedom to Roam is the only organization of its kind in this field that brings together such groups as the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, business leaders from Wal-Mart and Microsoft, energy providers such as BP America and Southern California Edison, hunting groups including the National Wildlife Federation and Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, conservationists from Defenders of Wildlife and Yellowstone to Yukon and the Western Governor’s Association and Department of Defense.
