Jobs

Freedom to Roam is always looking for dynamic individuals who can help with innovative solutions to achieving connectivity in North America.  While we don’t have any openings at this time, please send resumes to jobs@freedomtoroam.org.

However, we are currently on the search for interns and volunteers to help across a few key responsibilities. These positions are a minimum of eight hours per week and are currently unpaid (we’re working on that!).

If you are interested in helping with any of these intern responsibilities, please email us at jobs@freedomtoroam.org with Intern in the subject line. We’re also more than happy to work with your university to help with classroom credit.

Current intern openings:

  • Development: contact info for companies we’d like to approach, foundation deadlines, application writing help, writing thank you letters and the year end update to 2010 donors, brainstorming new ideas for partnerships with other outdoor industry companies
  • Media/PR: media list development, news aggregation and posting for the web site, blog editing and writing, tweets, event coordination, media pitching, ideation and plan/strategy development around some long-term ideas/campaigns, scanning news and clips to update the presentation, web updates (WordPress). Photoshop experience would be excellent
  • Conservation strategies: working with other conservation groups to research partnership ideas and work as a liaison to write and identify great corridor stories from across the country
  • Conservation Support: Research wildlife corridors and the wildlife using them, write descriptive narratives, compile corridor news and information
